Photos
Ensure each photo is at least 720 x 720 pixels. More is absolutely better. The maximum dimensions are 4096 x 4096 pixels. Each photo must not exceed 50 MB. Formats: jpg and png. Avoid incorporating watermarks from third-party brands or companies.

Posters
Designers and marketers, please share your complete poster designs. Posters promoting upcoming festivals are also welcome. A “full poster” includes all event details such as location and dates not just the photo(s) used. Use jpg or png.

Rules and Members of the Jury
Fair rules and a carefully selected jury are the foundation of this contest. The rules guarantee equal conditions and protect the integrity of the contest. You agree to these rules by participating in the contest.The jury, chosen for its expertise and reputation, evaluates every entry professionally, objectively, and with great care. Meet them here.

Rules and Jury
The term “The 2nd Annual Kite Photo and video 2026 Contest” shall henceforth be referenced herein as the “Contest”.
- Eligibility: The Contest is free, regardless of age or location. However, employees and immediate family members of Medianaut who organizes the contest are not eligible.
- Privacy Policy: By participating in the Contest, the entrant acknowledges he/she has read and understood the Privacy Policy which is available on this page.
- By Participating in the Contest: Entrants explicitly consent to unreservedly accept all regulations and the ultimate judgment, relinquishing any entitlement to dispute or appeal. . Avoid incorporating watermarks from third-party brands or companies. The general rule is simple: no AI compositions.
- Respect People’s Privacy when sharing media.
- Photo Quality Standards: Ensure each photo is at least 720 x 720 pixels. More is better. The maximum dimensions are 4096 x 4096 pixels. Use jpg, png or webp. Each photo must not exceed 50 MB. You may submit up to 8 unique photos per category. Submissions that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted.
- Video Quality Standards: The video format must be MP4. We prefer videos filmed in horizontal format. Each video file must not exceed 225 MB. Maximum duration is mentioned in the categories below. You may submit up to 3 unique videos per category. Submissions that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted. We prefer videos filmed in horizontal format (landscape).
- Video Background Music: Participants warrant that all music used in their video is properly licensed or royalty-free and does not infringe any copyright or other intellectual property rights. Participants shall be solely responsible for obtaining all necessary rights and shall indemnify the organizer against any claims resulting from the use of such music.
- Poster Quality Standards: Ensure each poster is at least 720 x 720 pixels. More is better. The maximum dimensions are 4096 x 4096 pixels. Use jpg, png or webp. Each poster must not exceed 50 MB. You may submit up to 8 unique posters. Submissions that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted.
- Subject Matter: Photos and videos must prominently feature kites as the primary subject. Marketing your brand, company, using watermarks, or showing your webshop is not the goal.
- Safety First: Photos and videos should not depict any dangerous or irresponsible behaviour involving kites. Any content that endangers the environment will also not be accepted.
- Respectful Content: Obscene, racist, pornographic, indecent, harassing, threatening, offensive or inappropriate photos and videos will not be accepted. Respect for other participants and the broader audience is essential. The photos and videos entered must not violate national or international regulations regarding domestic security.
- Originality: Each entrant in the Contest must possess absolute proprietorship and copyright entitlement over the depicted photos and videos. The use of copyrighted commercial music or commercial footage must be substantiated with written proof of authorization to use it. Submissions not meeting this requirement will not be accepted.
The submission of photos and videos that infringe upon copyright or intellectual property rights in any manner is strictly prohibited. Possible claims will be forwarded to the entrant of the photo and video. “Voor Autisme vzw” ” under the purview of Medianaut, Karel Overlaet shall hereby be deemed exempt from any potential claims. - Multiple Submissions: Each entrant is afforded the opportunity to tender a maximum of unique photos, videos an posters per category for evaluation in the Contest. The submission of more than the allowed number of media per category shall result in immediate disqualification in that category. The same photo, video or poster cannot be entered into more than one category. If so, they will be ignored.
- Deadline: All entries must be submitted by August 31st, 2026 at one minute to Midnight being 23:59. “Midnight” can be different due to the time zone of the entrant. Later submissions will not be considered. The jury will announce the winners end May 2026.
- Category Selection: There are seven (7). Entrants competing in the Contest must select the designated contest categories for their submission(s). Failure to comply with this directive shall render the submitted photo and/or video ineligible for inclusion in the Contest and will not be accepted.

* A pro is someone whose main source of income is building kites and has a registered company VAT nr. Just selling kites does not make you a pro. If you pretend to be, you will be disqualified from participating in the contest. - Judges: The judges come from a range of disciplines from different countries; they will be considering photos and videos according to criteria including but not limited to design, interesting environments, artistic merit and originality. The chairman of the jury has no vote. There is no appeal against the composition of the jury. You can find the team here.
- No Responsibility Can Be Accepted for Entries: Photos, videos, and images that are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be submitted for any technical, delivery or other reason. So be sure to make a copy of your media you going to enter before submitting it.
- The Contest Outcome is Final: Kindly take notice that the finality of the Contest outcome is absolute and precludes any potential deliberation or recourse. All determinations rendered by the adjudicators carry the force of binding effect and are immune from contestation.
- Jurisdiction: Only Antwerp courts have jurisdiction.

He’s am an Art Director in the Advertising business. Been doing this ever since he left college. He has been in kiting since 1993 when a friend introduced him to stunt kites. Eric Wynen – Belgium
Eric’s a photographer of models, nature, fast cars speed boats and more of the exiting stuff. He owns Eric Wynen Photography. Check his Facebook page where he shares some of his work.
Maurizio Cenci – Italy
He has always had a passion for creating and building things. In the early 1980s, he joined the “Vulandra” kite group where he still serves as president today. The group has consistently carried out voluntary work in schools to promote kite flying. They organize an international kite festival, which in 2025 reaches its 45th edition, and they also participate in other festivals in Italy and abroad.
His passion for kites is particularly expressed through designing and building his own projects often unusual kites with unconventional shapes. This is his Facebook page.
Michael Sherman – USA
He is in corporate communications and currently serves as an Executive Communications Strategist at a financial services company. He has been active in the communications profession for more than 30 years.
In addition, he flies show kites and produces kite festival videos through his business, Showkite Productions, LLC. He also maintains a blog where he shares information about the kites he flies.

By submitting your media, you grant the oganizer the non-exclusive rights to publish and share it. All copyright remains entirely yours.
This means I am allowed to display your media on 4autism.be and across social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram and LinkedIn.
You will always be credited for your work. I do not sell your media. If someone expresses interest in purchasing it, I will refer them directly to you without taking any commission.
You retain the right to request removal of (some of your) your media at any time. To do so, simply email contest2026@4autism.be and clearly identify the specific file(s) you wish to withdraw, as related to the Photo, Video and Poster Contest.
Please note: If your submission is selected as a winner by the contest jury, publication of the winning file(s) will be required.
