FAQ: The International Best Kite Photo and Video Contest 2026

We prefer horizontal videos because they provide a better viewing experience, especially on larger screens like TVs, laptops, and desktops. Horizontal format (16:9) is the industry standard for most platforms, ensuring optimal framing, higher resolution, and a more immersive feel. It also allows for better composition, fitting more elements naturally within the frame. While vertical videos work well as shorts for mobile viewing, horizontal videos offer greater versatility across different devices and platforms.

If your file exceeds the 15 MB limit, it could be due to a high dpi setting (above 72). To reduce the file size, try the following:
* Use graphic software (like Photoshop or other tools) to set the dpi to 72, which will help lower the file size. Reducing the dpi can also change the image size accordingly. So be sure to check the dimensions.
* The maximum dimension per image is 4096 x 4096 pixels.
* Alternatively, resize your image making sure it remains equal or larger than 720 x 720 pixels.

If your file exceeds the 150 MB limit, it could be due to a high resolution or wrong codec. To reduce the file size, try the following:
* Create a mp4 file.
* Use video software (like Premier Pro or other tools) to set the size to maximum 4096 x 2160 pixels (4K). If it is still too large, set the resolution to 1920 x 1080 pixels (HD) which will help lower the file size.
* The maximum dimension per video is 4096 x 2160 pixels which is 4K.
* The minimum dimension is equal or larger than 1920 x 1080 pixels which is HD.

If you use music that is copyrighted, you must ensure you have the proper rights or licenses to use it. This typically means obtaining permission from the copyright holder or purchasing a valid license.
An alternative is to use royalty-free music I recommend Pixabay.com, where music can often be used without payment. Attribution is mandatory. Always check the specific license to confirm what is allowed.

1. Make sure you are logged in to your account.
2. Navigate to the “Upload Your Work Here” page.
If you don’t see your gallery right away, try refreshing the page. Sometimes, after uploading your work, your gallery might not appear immediately. Refreshing the page should make it visible.

To remove a file, go to your gallery overview. From there, you can easily delete the file you no longer want.

To update the description or title of your uploaded file, go to your gallery overview. You can make the necessary changes directly from there.

Every contest needs clear rules, and for the Best Kite Photo and Video Contest 2026, you can find them here. It’s important to read the rules carefully, as by uploading a file, you agree to abide by them.

The contest is organized by my Belgian non-profit organization (NPO) dedicated to raising autism awareness in a fun and enjoyable way. It’s called “Voor Autism vzw”. The projec’s name is “Kiting 4 Autism”.

Finding contest software that met my specific needs was a real challenge. I was looking for something that offered full control, extensive customisation, and affordability—a combination that seemed nearly impossible to find.
